INJECTION MOLDING

Injection molding involves the liquefying of a plastic resin through heating and regulating its flow through a controlled gate into a cooled mold. The plastic solidifies once cooled and the mold is opened while the molded piece is pushed out by injector pins. For small parts, cycles can be as rapid as several injections per minute.
